Sometimes, all is not what it seems…

Sometimes all is not what it seems, and not too dissimilar from the Metaverse. Looking through my archive, I have no idea as to the context of these photos. Shot around the time I was working as a photojournalist for a press agency in York (2007 – 15 years ago!). 

Models have always fascinated me, I can see how people get lost in these miniature worlds. Perhaps it’s nice to have a dominion over a tiny world, or perhaps it’s getting lost in the detail and intricacy? Just a bit of escapism. 

These traditional looking interiors are 1/12th miniature scenes, in a shop that was dedicated to the craft, and indeed mostly hand crafted. The Miniature Scene of York, is now an online shop.
