When I was working for a press agency I often went out on jobs on spec, shooting things I thought would make for interesting photographs for the national press.
This is from a set I shot way back in 2011, from the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup at Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire. I’ve always been into mountain biking, since I was young. Without wanting to get too poetic, there’s something incredibly elegant about being able to travel great distances under one’s own steam on two wheels.
