Yesterday was a beautiful day and I travelled to Yorkshire Sculpture Park to photograph the UK’s largest exhibition of works by Yinka Shonibare MBE.
The exhibition features 30 works made between 2002 and 2013, many of which are being shown in the UK for the first time,
Also in the collection are two 6 metre Wind Sculptures, which are set with the Park’s 18th century landscaped gardens with the Yorkshire countryside as a dramatic backdrop. They feature Shonibare’s signature batik fabric pattern and sit like falling handkerchiefs.
FABRI-CATION runs from tomorrow (March 2nd) to the 1st of September of this year (2013).
